Know what is covered and what is not! Our clinic offers the standard chiropractic manipulation as well as therapy which can include Graston, ART, Dry Needling, EStim, Ultrasound, and Cold Laser Therapy. It is extremely important to check with your insurance, to see what your policy covers for Chiropractic Care. Some policies have copays due at the time of Service. These copays may cover all services OR may cover only specific services. Know what your deductible is so you are aware if you will have extra out of pocket costs if you have to meet the deductible before your insurance will pay. All theses factors are very important! If you need help figuring out what your policy covers, please call our office and Melissa will be happy to help.

Medicare Part B (Medical Insurance) covers manual manipulation of the spine by a chiropractor to correct a vertebral subluxation (when the spinal joints fail to move properly, but the contact between the joints remains intact).
Medicare doesn't cover other services or tests a chiropractor orders, including X-rays, massage therapy, and acupuncture.
Your costs in Original Medicare - After you meet the Part B deductible, you pay 20% of the Medicare- Approved Amount
If you’re new to Medigap or have been enrolled for years, you may wonder if and how chiropractic services are covered by Medigap. Remember that Medigap only covers what Medicare approves, so the good news is chiropractic is covered, but the bad news is Medicare’s chiropractic coverage is pretty limited.
Medicare’s Chiropractic Coverage
Currently, Original Medicare’s chiropractic coverage is limited to manipulation of the spine for a subluxation. The good news is there is Part B does not put a cap on how many visits you can receive for this specific health service. It’s important to note that Medicare will not cover x-rays, other adjustments, or additional treatments at your chiropractor’s office. You may want to receive your X-rays and other treatments at your physical therapist’s office as this would be covered by Medicare and Medigap.
Medicare Advantage Plans
Medicare Advantage plans offer the same coverage as Original Medicare's chiropractic coverage which is limited to manipulation of the spine for a subluxation.
X-rays, massage therapy, and acupuncture or additional treatments are not covered.
